Nobody pays you to run the gauntlet...

But we all still run it. And when we come out on top, unscathed, we smile in knowing that despite no wage, we've earned a reward. My reward? Happiness.

"A man who fears nothing, loves nothing, and if you love nothing, what joy is there in your life?" I fear failure in everything. But I love success. I think we all do. It's the only thing to live for, to know that what you sought has not been in vain. Yet most of the time, people lose sight of their goal, what the success would actually mean to them. They say a diamond is worthless until someone puts down money for it. The same is true for success. It's worthless, even after all the effort you put into reaching it, if you can't enjoy the root of your success. You seek health, but remember that your body only means something if you use it. You seek wealth but remember it only means something if you spend it. Me? I remember what I was looking for, and what it means to me. I was looking for someone, and I've remembered to enjoy what it is having her there.
