Right in front of me. But it's as though it weren't real.

"History will absolve me." My dad always quotes that by Fidel Castro. I wish it were true. They say history is a set of lies that men have agreed upon. That seems more fitting, since the point of view it is told from is that of the victors and conquerors. Where does that leave my history? Do I tell it the way I remember it, or are you going to have your own version?

I've got my own version of your history. If this is how I tell it, and if any of it's true, then you should pray for absolution.
